THE PROPRIETORS
Robert & Dawn Douglas
The Secret Wine Society was opened in December of 2019 by Robert and Dawn Douglas. Both have backgrounds in pharmacy and have poured their heart and soul into making their dream a reality.
OUR HISTORIC BUILDING
Step back in time in Oakland, Oregon.
The Secret Wine Society is located in Historic Oakland, Oregon in the middle of Umpqua Valley wine country. We are only 10 minutes north of Roseburg. Our town still has all the charm it had over a hundred years ago. Oakland is one of the best preserved collections of classic 19th century brick buildings in the state and its status is well deserved on the National & State Registers of Historical Places. Our building is no exception. Built in 1895, was originally the Crouch Brothers Palace Saloon. The Douglas’ family has restored the space to its former glory.
The Secret Wine Society is a wine bar and merchant that not only carries our local wines, but wines from all over the world. Visit us to experience unique, rare wines and enjoy the company of friends and family. There’s Always Something New to Try
The Secret Wine Society curates a collection of unique wines from all over the world that are not easily found elsewhere. We specialize in handcrafted wines from Oregon, California and France. Our lounge is designed to enjoy your bottle on location, or to take some home with you. Our shelves are stocked with over 200 wines and we select a variety of wines weekly for tasting or by the glass. Our staff is experienced in assisting purchases, ensuring the perfect wine for your occasion.

The Secret Wine Society is not only known for its extensive list of great wines but also for its fantastic small plate options. We have created a menu to accompany anyones wine preferences and palette. Our tasty appetizers consist of nuts, crackers, soups, sandwiches, cheeses, seasonal fruits, desserts and charcuterie boards.
